You've Got A Friend In Me

Calling all new friends!

I don't care who you are, what you look like, where you come from, your health history, what you do or don't do for work, how many children you do or don't have, your sexual orientation, your spiritual beliefs...I. Just. Don't. Care! All are welcome here! I will love and support each and every one of you just as long as nothing you do is considered illegal/negligent/abusive. Just making myself clear, but now that that's out of the way...welcome my friends!

My name is Danette. I'm a mother of three who works from home and resides in the beautiful state of Connecticut. I'm seriously your normal, everyday Jane Smith. Every night I sit down and relish in the fact that I survived yet another day of motherhood. I am no where near perfect and the stories I'll share here are solely that, my own. I don't expect everyone to agree with everything I think or do, but I do ask that you have respect for everyone here.

My main goal with this blog is to bring all of us together: friends, strangers, family members, students, pets, accountants, single parents, you name it! Whoever is choosing to read this and follow my journey, you're welcome here. I truly believe that social media is tearing us apart! When I say "us," I truly mean all of us. It's become this serious judgment zone where people feel better about tearing you down than building you up and I want to do a small part in changing that.

I plan to post some pretty fun things: yummy recipes, decorating tips - you can follow me as I make our new house a home, silly stories about my kiddos, serious stories about everyday parenting, books I'm reading, fun crafts, articles that I find interesting/worth the read, and so much more! So, please, sit back, relax, grab a drink of choice (coffee, wine, beer, ice water, sweet tea), and let's get started!

*If there's anything you're curious about, want more information on, or would like to ask me, please don't hesitate to reach out. I welcome all questions, suggestions, and ideas!
